Remodeling

A little room re-arranging. To accommodate the puppy crate. He now sleeps in my room, at the foot of my bed. He's no longer waking me up barking at the butt crack of dawn. I think he has separation anxiety. He's fine as long as I'm in sight. Whatever works!?

4 Wonderful Years

Happy Anniversary, my love. 4 years ago today, we said our "I Do's", and I still mean every word of it. Even more today than the day we said them. I couldn't imagine my love growing for you even more than the love I felt for you on our wedding day, but it has, so much. You truly complete me, and I only wish we could be together to spend "Our Day" together. I miss you with every part of my being, and I can't wait until we are spending our 5 year anniversary together. I love you so much. More than words will allow me to explain.

My Revamped Mirror

This mirror was an extra hanging around at Ashley's, so with her permission, I snagged it up for my own to use at my makeup table. It was a plastic frame with mauves, blues, and golds swirled in some kind of pattern. Hence why it was just an extra (pretty sure it was left over from the 80's or 90's). We spray painted it black, first off. Then my sweetheart got me some really neat sticky vinyl paper (it was in my stocking for Christmas) that you cut with your handy, dandy Cricut cutting machine. So I popped in a font cartridge that I liked, and cut the words out on the vinyl. Peeled the back, stuck 'em on the mirror, and presto. Complete mirror make over. I'm pretty darn happy with the way it turned out.

A video game, Mythbusters, or any type of car/truck show.

Jason has never met a food he doesn't like...oh wait, wait...Key Lime Pie, he hates it.

Davie High School, and East Rowan High School

6. What shoe size does he wear?
11 or 12, depending on tennis shoe, boot, or sandal.

9. What is his favorite cereal?
Strawberry Mini Wheats, or Strawberry Honey Bunches of Oats...he loves the strawberry stuff.

19. What is a unique talent he has?
He can build/rebuild a minitruck.

Care Package Time Again

This one was sent to my honey for Valentine's. The rose on top was a plastic rose that I sprayed with his favorite perfume of mine. It was a big hit:o) Jason's been hitting the gym almost everyday since he's been there, so this box was packed full of high protein snacks (and a little chocolate..what's Valentine's without some chocolate!?). I stuffed a pillow in the bottom since the pillows over there are so hard. I think I have him spoiled to the comfier things in life, hehe. Throw in a couple of bags of his favorite buffalo wing pretzels and a pair of weight lifting gloves, and he was a happy man. I'm getting pretty good at these care packages.

A Valentine's Day Delivery

What a sweet man I have. This came for me on Valentine's Day, since we couldn't spend this one together. Beautiful flowers, the sweetest note, and a bear that dances to "You're The One That I Want". He's so thoughtful. I just love him so:o)

Settled In For A Bit

I know I've been M.I.A. for a while now, but life has been craaaaazy busy. I've already been home for 5 weeks now! It actually has been going by quickly. Busy is the way to be to help the time pass, I suppose. I've got my room set up at Ashley's now, so that helps with feeling a little more grounded. We've joined a gym together, and getting healthy feels wonderful! I have a goal to work towards now. Jason will be coming home for leave in August, so I want to shed some poundage before then;o) Having 2 puppies in one house also doesn't leave much time for anything else. They have cut our work out for us, that's for sure! They are just so darn adorable though! Anyways, I'm still here, and hopefully will be posting more now. Here are some pictures of my newly decorated room at Ashley's.

Pink and Black! (Not typically my style, but why not try it out for a year?)
I definately like it...I think this stuff will work well for the guest room in our next place. My "beautifying corner"
Shoes, Shoes, Shoes...love me some shoes!

Deployment #2

Well, he's gone again. I'm left behind to wait. I knew this was his job when we got married, but it still doesn't make it any easier. He's a marine, and I couldn't be more proud of him. 13 months, they're saying. That's more than a year. A year. You can't get that back. 2009 will be a year that we lose. I am back home with my family, and getting settled. My sister and her family took me in this time. I am so grateful for my family. They are the only thing that gets me through. Them, and a few dear friends. I am a Marine's wife, and there was never a second thought as to what I would do throughout another deployment. Wait. And love him. And pray for him. Just like I did the last time. I read this somewhere, and it rings so true. "I miss him so much, but I love having him to miss." I would wait on him forever if that is what I had to do. Because he is worth it. He is my soul mate, my other half. I am incomplete without him. But I will be complete once again, because we will make it through this deployment. He will come home to me, we are strong, and I will live for the day that I can run and jump into his arms again. That day will make it all worth it. Worth all the restless, tearful nights, worth all the worry, worth all the loneliness. That next "first kiss", "first hug". It will be all better then.
Can't believe it's that time again

True heartbreak

Holding on tight to last until next time

Meet Our New Baby...

This is Kojak, our newest "furbaby". He's a 12 week old Australian Shepherd. Jason got him for me to keep me company during this very hard deployment coming up. I think he will help fill my time and keep me busy:) Isn't he just the cutest thing?!

Times like these...

I am extremely overwhelmed. I HATE moving. HATE it. I'm sitting here taking a breather and trying to recover from a low blood sugar (due to packing non stop for several hours), and I'm now realizing it's midnight, and I have to get up and start again at 6 am. Boo. Please pray that I get it done and don't get a migraine. I'm going to go cry now.

Just Feel Like Rambling

I honestly can't believe that Christmas is over. We still celebrate the season until after New Year's, but I just feel like it flew. More so than any other year ever. We did have a wonderful Christmas. My sweetie got me a veeeery nice professional grade Nikon camera (pictures coming soon!), and a beautiful estate-looking ring. We enjoyed wonderful food and special time with family. We also just got back from visiting some family in Georgia yesterday. We took off the day after Christmas. It was a fun trip, but it was super quick and a little strained that close to Christmas. We're back at Dad and Mom's for the week, and then leaving to go home and pack, pack, pack...move, move, move on Saturday. Jason has a leave "window" now. It's mid-January. I was so hoping for February, but no such luck. We will be out of our house by the 13th and done with inspection so we can enjoy the last little bit of time we have together. My dear friend Tiffany is opening her home to us, so that we can do this without spending a small fortune on a hotel room. We will, of course, get one the last night or two. I feel a bit overwhelmed at this point. There is so much to do, and I'm dreading going home because I know it will just be one step closer to Jason leaving again. The sleeplessness has already kicked in, the worry, the stress. Why couldn't Christmas last a bit longer....
